A key scholarly concern is the reexamination of the emergent "Theology of Resistance." This neologism, combining "theology" and "resistance," is a novel doctrine. Resistance to international hegemonic arrogance, pioneered by the Islamic Revolution's Imams, necessitates academic inquiry into its dimensions-transcending praxis to theory-especially for the Middle East's Axis of Resistance. Its anthropological foundations are vital, underpinning the Axis's geopolitical and trans-regional worldview. This essay systematizes these foundations from Javadi Amoli's perspective via nobility of creation (ashrafiyyat), vicegerency (khilafah), dignity (karamah), and trusteeship (amanah), applying them as its core innovation. He posits that vicegerency and dignity are ontologico-legislative gifts; the earth is the inheritance of the righteous, requiring legislative vicegerency for legislative dignity to actualize. Findings: 1) The semantics of the Theology of Resistance. 2) Vicegerency and dignity are core springboards, while nobility and trusteeship are prerequisites. 3) Horizontal actualization (creature-creature) demands knowledge, righteous action, and free will. 4) Creation and trusteeship are ontological endowments (non-voluntary/compulsory-voluntary) for the vertical (Divine-creature) relationship. 5) The Axis employs legislative vicegerency (leadership) to defend human dignity and balance power among faiths. Thus, the Axis relies on dignity, vicegerency, and trusteeship, and through sincerity, resistance, and voluntary martyrdom, intensifies its struggle to negate hegemony and establish justice.
