Abstract

Emerging religious and spiritual movements, based on neo-atheistic and neo-polytheistic beliefs, are committed to removing God from influencing and ruling over all existence and eliminating Abrahamic religions from human life in the modern era. To achieve their goals, these movements utilize ancient and religious teachings and traditions, philosophical and mystical schools, and scientific achievements with software and hardware methods, and have various components such as distorted fusion, secular spirituality, millennialism, person-centeredness, individualism, superstition, reincarnation, and exploitation of women and youth. Western researchers in the field of religions and spirituality consider the approaches of these movements to be utilitarian, deceptive, and hedonistic, and believe that they are exploiting the void of true faith and spirituality in the modern era that has confused people and made their lives meaningless to achieve personal goals. However, a group of Islamic scholars, using philosophical foundations and words based on verses of the Quran about the lack of divine helplessness, have criticized and examined their claims and expressed positive and negative strategies to counter them. In this fundamental research, using documentary data method, we seek to examine the most important components of this movement. We are movements in the contemporary and future eras
